The Sunday Club squad are back on the sofa for another round of beers / critiquing whatever dross they found in the charity shop and by god did they boys drop the ball this week: All round average director, fake cockney and real egotist Guy Ritchie is the director this week and his new atrocity King Arthur is in the DVD player / firing line!
Purple City Soufflé’s irregular & irreverent film review crew The Sunday Club are back & they’ve binned off the written word in favour of a podcast! This week our druken / gruesome twosome have gone for John Carpenter’s The Fog.
When the sleeve of Antonio Banderas latest petrol station-action classic said “it’s going to be a long night” it wasn’t fucking joking.
Purple City’s all new, incompetent and largely irrelevant chatshow is here with regular hosts Bayfield and dubstep donny Quest dissecting a wildly unspecific grab-bag of topics all the while ingesting unnecessary amounts of alcohol.
For this week’s Sunday Club we went diggin’ in the crates for a classic and fuck me it must be the eighties! Ash has only gone and smashed it out the park for this week with his selection of the (potentially biographical) story of when Rusty Met Goldie more commonly known as Overboard!
The godawful straight to DVD Hollywood machine rolls ever onward and this week Pierce Brosnan is at the wheel.
Episode 006 of Sunday Club is here and this week our pair of pissheads / pissants Ashley & Matthew are reviewing Bastille Day starring Idris Elba.
In an attempt to give himself and Ashley something of a brief respite from the pure, unadulterated shit of previous Sunday Clubs Matthew decided to head for the bushes and pick the sequel to a series of films that he’d not only watched but actually enjoyed; hence we arrive at Ip Man 3.
Week IV of Sunday Club and Ashley in his infinite pissed up wisdom is taking the reins (yeah that’s a horse pun) of the sinking Sunday Club ship (yeah that’s a nauctical pun that directly clashes with the previous horse pun) and has selected Ben Hur 2KXVI for a drunken review session. May God have mercy.
It’s week three of Sunday club (well technically its week four but USS Indianapolis was so shit the team had to go and get pissed in a health spa for a full seven days in a bid to cleanse the bilge from their systems. The boys are back refreshed and anew though and this week its Bayfield’s pick: he’s gone for 2016 indie Blood Orange starring professional car insurance salesman and oiled rope impersonator Iggy Pop!
